One of the key elements that makes the GWMural complete and the idea successful is the inclusion of local and regional Washington-related historical sites. We found GREAT enthusiasm at each of these sites to "get the word out" about what they have to offer visitors. Each site has it's own unique story and historical treasures that was shared with us -one they would eagerly share with you as well. They each provided facts about their own part of the much larger George Washington story. We want to thank these "historical advisors" that have been helping us in this project and also all the re-enactors who have volunteered to be photographed and offer advise.

Unlike most websites, we do hope you click away from our site and go off exploring. How many times do you drive or walk by a local historic site and never know what event took place there? Now is your chance to find out.

Among other things, we want the GWMural project to be a source for information on regional history. Start off by bookmarking this page of links ...then click on one of the places you haven't visited -and begin a journey to discover something new.
